Daylite
Manage your business and your team.
Daylite is our powerful groupware and collaboration application, designed to keep your business organized and growing. It includes features such as shared contacts, shared calendars, shared projects, shared opportunities, email integration and much more.
Eliminate double-entry by importing contacts and organizations from Daylite as clients in Billings.
You can send tasks, appointments, projects and opportunities from Daylite. If you (or colleagues) update a record in Daylite, you can simply resend that activity. Billings will automatically update the appropriate slip if it has been invoiced already.
If a slip originated from Daylite, you can easily update it from Billings, just in case something has changeduseful in multi-user environments.
If a project originated in Daylite and Daylite is open, sending an invoice in Billings will automatically put a file-reference to the invoice in that project as well as create an event for when the invoice is due.
As of Billings 3, the owner of the task or appointment in Daylite is maintained as the Worker Name in Billings. This additional bit of information allows a biller to set different rates for different workers (using Bulk Edit if necessary). The worker name can also be shown on invoices.
Updates are non-destructive now, so a biller can update a project many times before sending out the final invoice without worry of things like billing rate, name and comment being changed.
Another useful feature in Billings is the ability to print Pro Forma invoices. Before sending out a real invoice, a biller can print a pro forma invoice and have the senior person responsible for the account review the invoice before sending it out. Edits can be made, and if necessary, another pro forma invoice sent. Once everything has been approved, the final invoice can be delivered to your client.
