We're a husband and wife team based in Collingwood. Our wedding photography reflects the couple we are photographing but is definitely romantically inspired. Although based in Collingwood we travel far and wide photographing weddings. Places we've been commissioned to work include Panama, Scotland and South Africa as well as all over Ontario.

What made you realize you wanted to improve your invoicing process?

After our first year in business we realized that our accounts were a mess. We needed a simple way to be able to bill our customers, as well as keep track of our invoices and taxes.

Was there an aspect of your previous invoicing process that you found daunting?

The fact it took so long to do anything was really one of the main drivers to look for something that would streamline our billing process. We were also fed up with the fact that there was no one producing anything of any quality for people using Macs.

What feature(s) in Billings drew you in initially?

Loved that Billings was simple to use and we didn't have to spend a fortune purchasing it. We also loved the invoice templates - they look great, which is important for us as a company selling a visual product.

How did Billings and/or Billings Touch improve your workflow and increase productivity?

Billings improved our workflow and productivity two ways. First, it meant we spent less time billing clients, and second, the reporting is much easier and quicker than other programs we looked at. This equates to spending a lot less time preparing details for the accountants when that time arrives.

Describe how Billings helped you to earn more revenue with your business.

We make our money from taking photographs - anything that stops us from doing that means that we don't make as much as we could. The fact that Billings is easy to use means that we can spend more time doing what makes us money - taking photos rather than playing with numbers.
