Manage your business and your team.
With a Cloud account, you'll pay a monthly fee for each user in your organization that will be using Billings Pro. If you're going to be hosting your own database, you can choose from a few different Self-Serve options. There are two different ways you can use and purchase Billings Pro – Cloud and Self Serve.
Billings Pro is priced at US $19.95/month per user. This includes Billings Pro for Mac, Billings Pro Touch, Timecard, and subscription to Marketcircle's Cloud service. You'll want to buy one license for each person in your organization that will be using Billings Pro.
Billings Pro is available for purchase on a per-license basis (which includes Billings Pro for Mac, Billings Pro Touch, Timecard, and Billings Pro Server) for either a one-time fee (pricing available on our store), or on a per-user, per-month (Pay As You Go) basis. We also offer bundles that provide the best pricing when purchasing for multiple licenses. You'll want to buy one license for each person in your organization that will be using Billings Pro.
Our bundles come complete with Billings Pro for Mac, Billings Pro Touch, Timecard, Billings Pro Server, and a full year of Premium Technical Support. Our bundles offer the best value for multi-user license purchases.
Absolutely. This is ideal for workgroups that consist of, for example, 5 permanent workers with 2 contract workers that are going to be working on a project for 3 months. In this scenario, it would make the most sense to purchase our 5-user bundle of Billings Pro, and purchase 2 Pay As You Go licenses for the 3 months of contract work.
Billings Pro can be tried by your entire organization for 30 days. There are no limitations to the trial version, and if you decide to purchase, you'll be able to continue working right where you left off.
Billings Pro is currently available in English, French, and German.
For training and implementation services, please contact one of our Certified Partners. We also have a library of tutorial videos that will help get you started.
Billings Pro was designed for multi-user workgroups – Billings 3 and
Billings Touch are more suitable for single users.
As a single user, you should try Billings 3 first to see if your basic needs are met. If they aren't you can easily migrate
your Billings 3 database into Billings Pro and give it a try.
To help determine which Billings application is better suited for you, we've created this
comparison chart.
Please contact our support team so that we can facilitate migration for you from Billings 3 to Billings Pro.
The short answer: very.
A semi technically skilled person can easily customize items such as placement, fonts, colors and images.
The engine is very powerful and flexible (evidence: the best invoices anywhere), and as with anything with such power and flexibility,
expertise is required to get the most out of it. Since the engine is shared with Daylite and Billings, there is existing knowledge out
there. Concepts can found here (PDF). Billings 3 template
layout and design movies can be found here. You can find Eric O'Connell's Daylite
Report Fundamentals book here. You can find partners that have expertise
here. You can purchase some canned templates or custom templates
here and here.
While on the surface, the difference may not appear big, but the actual differences are significant. Billings Pro offers true multi-user support with an option for users to host their database themselves (Self-Serve) or have us host it for them (Cloud). Check out the comparison chart.
Nope! This is exactly why we built the Marketcircle Cloud. When you're using Billings Pro with Marketcircle Cloud you don't have
to worry about hosting, data backups, or synchronization – we handle this for you so you can focus on getting down to work.
For Selfe-Serve you'll require an Intel Mac machine running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later to host your database. You do not require
a "server grade" machine – see system requirements (below) for more details.
Data synchronized between Billings Pro and Marketcircle Cloud is encrypted using SSL. All of our servers are behind secure firewalls and are located in a Tier 1 datacenter with multiple physical security measures.
One of the benefits of Billings Pro is that your data is stored locally on your machine or mobile device and you are using native
application so you can continue working without interruption even if your network is unavailable or our servers are unreachable. In the
unlikely event of downtime, Timecard and invoice generation will be unavailable.
We'll send notices out for planned maintenance and we'll post any updates to
http://status.marketcircle.com if our server status changes.
Billings Pro Touch was built for use on iPhone and iPod touch, and will run on iPad in either it's original size or expand it to fill the screen using the 2x zoom feature.
Workers can track time on a Windows PC using Timecard. Timecard works on Internet Explorer 8.0, however we recommend using Firefox, Chrome, or Safari for Windows.
You do not require an internet connection to track time with Billings Pro. Time can be tracked locally and then synchronized later when an Internet connection is realized.
No. Switchboard is a free service for Billings Pro to connect to Billings Pro Server and devices to connect to Touch Server remotely. The primary purpose of Switchboard is to communicate and update the IP address of the server machine to Billings Pro.
Currently there is no API for third parties. We have however, determined that REST will be the principal method going forward. Having said this, we have not determined when we will implement this functionality. If you have a specific idea or need in mind, please let us know.
We do have the ability to run FScript scripts (or FScript wrapped within AppleScript), but we have not documented the potential calls and methods.
