Daylite 3.9.4 – 100% Snow Leopard Compatible

September 14, 2009 on 1:09 am | Ryan

Daylite 3.9.4, along with being fully Snow Leopard compatible, features some minor bug fixes and a few small improvements.

Users can now setup default reminders for tasks and appointments created in Daylite Touch, which minimizes user input when you’re out and about.

We’ve also added the ability to query “state reason” and “salutation” in Smart Lists – handy for creating lists of failed opportunities for “x” reason, etc.

Daylite version 3.9.4 is a free update for existing (and trial) users, and is available for download here.

If you use Daylite Server, please make sure you download version 3.9.4, available here.

You can check out the release notes for more information.

    Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, everytime I open Daylite, my system has a launchd hang up that runs at about 40% of the CPU continuously…even after quitting the program (until I restart the computer). What can I do to keep my system from hanging up and running hot?

  2. Sven Laucke says:

    Congrats! Keep the good work up!

    Daylite is a real Killer and Daylite Touch the Killer App!

    @Ashley – just requires re-installation. Support will be contacting you shortly ;)

    @Sven – thanks, will do!

  4. Bruce says:

    I have just installed Snow Leopard Mac OS X 10.6.1 and now find that DMI no longer works as a plug in in Mail. After reinstalling DMI, I get a message when restarting Apple Mail that says the DMI plug in is not compatible with Mail 4.1 or Message 4.1. This is in my view a major issue. When and how can I resolve this problem?

    Help please.

    @Bruce – support will be contacting you shortly.

  6. Jason says:

    Can support please contact me too as I am also experiencing the inconvenience of being without DMI at the moment due to the Mail 4.1 plug-in incompatibility.

    Thanks.

  7. Joseph Lee says:

    I have the same problem as Bruce. Please let me know how I can fix DMI.

  8. ryan says:

    @Jason & @Joseph:

    If you’re not already using Daylite 3.9.4 Build 1966, then please install it.

    Download links can be found here:

    This build contains an updated version of DMI that will work with Mail 4.1.

    - Ensure that Daylite and Apple Mail are quit prior to updating.
    - If you use the Daylite Server Admin application, please backup your database, stop the Daylite Server Admin and also update the application to Daylite Server 3.9.4

    If you are still having trouble, please send in a ticket to our support team using this form: http://www.marketcircle.com/help/DayliteSupportRequest.html

    Same as Bruce

  10. ryan says:

    @Reinier

    You’ll need to quit Apple Mail, re-install 3.9.4, then launch Mail.

  11. Frank says:

    I have the same problem as Ashley. However, re-installation did not resolve the problem. After daylite starts running cpu usage goes up, the CPU gets hot, and battery usage gets intensive. This condition continues after daylite has been quit. Very annoying!

  12. ryan says:

    @Frank Support will be contacting you as soon as possible.

  13. Adrian Fletcher says:

    Same problem as Frank and Ashley. Can’t open my database… very serious! Please help ASAP!!

  14. Adrian Fletcher says:

    ok, just fixed it by reinstalling the server after snow leopard upgrade

  15. Chris says:

    Can you provide more information about possible future releases and features of on-coming updates?

  16. ryan says:

    @Chris Don’t have anything for you right now, but you may want to monitor the forums and our blog for announcements.

  17. mike says:

    I’ve heard there are some wildlife groups trying to get Apple to do more stuff with the actual S.L.’s lol. I don’t know- people are saying it’s good PR for Apple- they should jump on that.

  18. ryan says:

    @mike Very interesting! As a company that prides themselves on being environmentally conscience, they should.

    Have you seen Planet Earth? There’s some neat, rare footage of real Snow Leopards…worth checking out (not to mention the entire thing is awesome).
