On the heels of Daylite 3.7 which got us the ability to connect to the likes of MoneyWorks, LightSpeed and FileMaker, we now have Daylite 3.7.1 which has some bug fixes and usability improvements. The key one being that the month view shows more information. We reduced the font size (you can choose from small, regular and large), we minimized the amount of space the time display takes to the bare minimum (3p instead of 3:00 PM for example) and we now have the option to turn off the busy bar (off by default).
Daylite 3.7.1 is a free upgrade for all Daylite 3 users. We are always trying to make things better. Read the full release notes here.
Download the productivity suite here.
Until next time…
AJ

Paul Otterness says:
Read that 3.7.1 was out in a Macworld.com article, but when I clicked on the “Check for Updates” command, it said I was already up to date with 3.6. Will the free download update be working soon? Thanks for you help. –Paul.
AJ says:
I’ll have someone look at that. We’ve been having issues with that update service. Thanks.
Terry Bennett says:
hi,
Last, nor this AutoUpdate worked.
Still, a few mouse clicks and we’re underway.
jacopo says:
For me AutoUpdate worked very good, asking for download update, skip, etc.
AJ says:
We fixed the update server issue. Thanks for Paul for letting us know.
John Miller says:
The Apple Online Store is selling the Daylite product priced at $149.95. Why is the almost $40 difference when buying direct? Is there something missing?
AJ says:
The difference is that the stores carry Daylite without DMI and we put priority on the suite which includes DMI ($49 by itself). You can buy Daylite by itself online too.
John Miller says:
Thanks AJ. Thats the answer I was hoping for.
Regards,
John
Elliot says:
Hi,
Wondering if the Day view has been fixed as well?
Thanks,
Elliot
AJ says:
I’m not sure what you mean, but in general, the day view specifically has not been touched.
Daniel Valente says:
Hello- trying to get data from custom forms into a report i.e. contacts can have many software registrations or bug reports, need a way to summarize all bug reports or registrations in a table. Thx! Love Daylite! Dan
AJ says:
Daniel – yes you can do that. You might have to look at the dev kit to figure out the data paths or ask one of our report certified partners to help.
David Brownstein says:
if i download this update will i have to do anything fancy with my database or just click once and it’ll take care of itself?
i usually have to have a paid consultant talk me through my upgrades, which is very frustrating and expensive. (and i’m not a computer idiot.) and the email message i got from market circle on how to go to 3.7 was very complex as well. couldn’t you guys make this process a little easier?
thanks.
AJ says:
This one is an easy update if you have 3.7 installed already. It is when we have a database engine version change or a database schema version change *and* you have offline databases, that it becomes a little more complex.
See this KB article for more info http://www.marketcircle.com/kb/idx/0/506/article/
So download and install and you should be good to go.
