Daylite
Manage your business and your team.
Daylite can be purchased for a one-time fee directly from our online store. There are no ongoing monthly or yearly subscription fees associated with the product. You can purchase a pay-as-you-go license if you prefer a subscription model, but otherwise Daylite is sold as a purchase-to-own product.
Daylite Mail Integration (DMI) is a plugin that ties Apple Mail into Daylite. With DMI, you have the ability to store your emails in the Daylite database and link them to the respective contact's record. This gives you a rich history of all inbound and outbound communication with your clients. Additionally, you can convert emails into tasks, appointments, projects, and opportunities directly from Apple Mail.
Yes. You can access Daylite over the Internet from anywhere in the world. We have detailed instructions in our Help section in Daylite, which outlines the steps required to get this going.
Yes. If you're a single user, you can have Daylite installed on a laptop and you can simply take that laptop with you on the road. In a multi-user environment, mobile users with laptops can create an offline copy of the database on their computer. These offline databases can be used while on the road in places where you won't have access to the Internet, i.e. on a plane, train, or in certain hotels. All changes made to your offline database can be synced to the master database either through an Internet connection while you're traveling, or when you come back to the office and rejoin the local network.
To get the most out of Daylite while you're traveling, use Daylite Touch. Daylite Touch lets you access and manage your business from your iPhone or iPod touch, with over the air synchronization through EDGE, 3G, and WiFi
You need a computer that will act as a server, running Daylite Server. A server grade computer like an Xserve is not required, but you're welcome to use one. Most of our customers use Mac minis as their dedicated Daylite server.
A single user only needs to install Daylite Server if they have Daylite Touch or if they have multiple computers running Daylite.
Yes. Daylite has built in import functionality. Daylite will accept vCards, delimited data (both tab delimited and CSV), and also synchronizes with Address Book and iCal. The delimited import tool is the most versatile method as it can accept data from a wide range of applications. Most limitations are usually the result of inadequate export function from the application you're switching from. For example, ACT! for PC has a very basic export, which is why we offer a custom ACT! conversion service.
No. Daylite is built exclusively for the Mac platform.
No. We currently don't have a web client.
