Embark Dog Centre offers a unique combination of daycare, boarding, walking and complimentary training services. Owned and operated by a certified dog trainer, your dog’s care comes from a one of a kind compassion training and care-giver perspective; allowing our time with your dog to strengthen your relationship with your dog.

How do you use Daylite in your industry?

Daylite has given us the best combination of pre-built functionality and the ability to customize our own system. We use Daylite to process an incredible amount of information on our guests (the dogs) and our clients (the owners). Our vision was to create a system where we could hold ourselves accountable to the progress and development of each guest, and report it to our clients. We use Daylite's forms to collect and store crucial data that allows us to create an activity and training schedule based on each dog's individual needs and client's desires. This also means we have the ability to pair canine friends for their forest walks. Of course none of this would be possible if we weren't able to efficiently keep track of our vehicles all over town picking up and dropping off our furry guests.

What was it about Daylite that drew you in initially?

We started looking for a Mac based CRM solution that was capable of handling and tracking our business goals. We wanted to make sure that the technical solution would fit our business objectives. Before investing valuable time and money we were able to meet with Jani, a local Marketcircle partner who demonstrated the software and answered our specific questions. It was clear after speaking with Jani that Daylite was a perfect match for us.

How has Daylite and/or Daylite Touch improved your workflow?

Daylite Touch is the key to our communication system. All of our information needs to be available at the flick of a finger. We keep track of critical information such as dogs with allergies or clients with specific pick up and drop off needs. Our employees are always in touch whether they are at a client's home or walking our guests in the middle of the forest . Daylite Touch allows us to share information from multiple locations in an efficient and incredibly simple manner.

Which features do you find most useful to you and your business?

Task delegation and projects. The staff love knowing what they have to do, ranked in priority and roughly how long it should take. Now they have a clear idea of what is expected, and can work autonomously. Everyone just knows what to do and they now have the information to get it done, or better yet have the ability to use the information to make intelligent decisions that effect productivity. That eliminates a lot of stress, in addition to creating a higher level of job satisfaction. Seldom is the phrase" Did you get a chance to do that? " heard at Embark Dog Centre!

How has Daylite helped you to increase revenue in your business?

Embark Dog Centre is on the leading edge of Canine Care. We are doing things in a way that haven't been done before! To explain it in an analogy; its like we are running a hybrid of Fedex and a dating service. We have to pick guests up, pair them with the right guest so they all get along, and then show them a great time. Then we have to get everyone back to where they came from; on time. Keeping track of our workflow can at times be difficult because we have staff and assets scattered across town. Since we've been managing our business with Daylite we've been able to track what parts of our business are working, and more importantly, which ones aren't. By continuing to improve the consistency of our workflow and services, our two legged friends bring their four-legged friends more often!
