Can I recreate an online database from an offline database?

If you are asking this question, then you've somehow lost your main database but you have an offline copy.

You cannot simply rename an offline database. It has to be converted.

Convert an offline database using the Offline Convertor Utility.
  • Uncompress the zip file
  • Launch the utility
  • Select your database (on the local machine and make sure everyone quits Daylite)
  • Click on the 'Convert' button

If you have other offline databases, they must be recreated. Stop and discard the old ones using OpenBase Manager, then recreate them using Daylite (File -> Database -> Go Offline). You risk data loss at some future point if you do not recreate them.

If you have unsynchronized data in your offline database, then sync once before discarding the old offline database.

Note: 'OFFLINE' will be removed from the database name.
