I am having problems using the built in editor to write letters

Q) I am having problems using the built in editor to write a letter or letters.

The following message is appearing:
"The merge failed, please ensure that all merge keys are derived from the template editor. During the merge for xxxx (where "xxxx" is the contact's name).

A) The problem may be occurring because your Daylite user profile isn't actually linked to a Contact record in the database.
As Daylite cannot identify which user is performing this action, the merge failure occurs.

Please perform the steps below which should help to resolve this issue:

-Open the Daylite 'User & Teams' preference window (from the Daylite menu bar select Daylite -> Preferences -> Users & Teams (icon)
-Highlight the user 'No Name' in 'User' panel (should be first in the list)
-Click on the 'Choose...' button to produce a drop down window
-Enter your name in the search field (press the [enter] key to commence the search
-Highlight the applicable Contact name you would to use and then click on the 'OK' button to confirm your choice.
-You should now see the your name displayed in the user panel. Close the preference window when you have confirmed this.

When you have performed the steps, try using the letter merge feature again.
