Marketcircle KB .: Daylite 3.x .: Database .: I am unable to connect to my database after restarting my computer or upgrading to a newer version of Daylite 3.

I am unable to connect to my database after restarting my computer or upgrading to a newer version of Daylite 3.

If you are getting the following Alert message (refer to the bottom of this page) after upgrading to a newer version of Daylite, or after restarting your computer, please note that this is common.
Depending on the your size of your databases, it will take time for it/them to start.

You should wait until all of your databases are started, before attempting to log into a database again.

A way for checking on the status of a database (whether the database has started or stopped) is through OpenBaseManager.
Instructions on how to do this can be found in the following article:

Please ensure that Daylite is installed properly on 127.0.0.1.
If 127.0.0.1 is acting as a server, ensure that Daylite is
configured in 'shared' mode and that the firewall (if active)
is not blocking the required ports (20221 and 20222)"
