The industry specific database templates help you to speed up your Daylite customization process and start using Daylite right away. These database templates address the needs of professionals working in the following industries: film and video, photography, print and design, real estate, sales, and law.

You should have Daylite 3.7 or later versions to be able to use the industry specific database templates. Also, note that you can only create a new database from the database templates available.

The new database that you create from a database template will have certain pre-defined settings as required by the specific industry. As your database grows, you can customize further and add more information.

To create an industry specific database from a database template

1. Choose File > Database > Create New Database.
2. When prompted, enter your password for authentication. Click OK.
3. Enter the necessary information. Click Next.
4. Select an industry specific database template using which you wish to create a new database. Click Finish.
5. Enter your password for authentication.
6. Click Login.

The new database templates also come with corresponding sample databases which you can try out by going to File > Database > Go To Sample Database.
