Task changes in Daylite 3.8:

Some options for tasks have been reworked to simplify and enhance the management of tasks.

-There is now an "Inbox" Smart list for tasks. If you want to create tasks on the go, but review and process them later, then you can drag a task to the Inbox, or check/uncheck "Inbox" in the task card.

There is also a default value that can cause all new tasks to be added to the Inbox, if the user chooses.

-Users can now set a "Someday" flag on tasks and use the corresponding Smart list to manage those tasks. For example, if you have a task that you are not sure when to do it or even whether you will be doing it, but you wish to record it somewhere, then select the Someday checkbox in the task window.

Daylite will add your task to the Someday Smart list. Note: Someday and Inbox tasks are mutually exclusive. So, you wouldn't create a task and select both the checkboxes.

-There are changes to task priorities, so existing values will be transformed into new ones. The mapping is as follows:

• 1(High) is retained as 1(High)
  
• 2, 3, 4 is retained as 2(Medium)
  
• 5(Low) becomes 3(Low)
  

-There are changes to task statuses, so existing values will be mapped into new ones. The mapping is as follows:

• Other, New become Open
• Routine becomes In Progress
• Determine Action becomes Pending
• Determine Delegate becomes Pending
• Deferred, In Progress, Done, and Cancelled remain the same
