How do I revert back to 3.2 after upgrading to Daylite 3.5?

In the event that you need to revert back to Daylite 3.2.x after upgrading to 3.5, you will need to re-install Daylite 3.2 and restore the 3.2 database. A backup of your database is created when launching Daylite 3.5 for the first time. This backup can be restored and used in the previous 3.2 version. If you haven't changed the location of the backup folder, then you will find your backups in:

Hard Drive -> Library -> OpenBase -> Backup

Please note that any information that was added whilst using Daylite 3.5 cannot be restored using this method.

When you have located your Daylite 3.2 backup (which is identifiable by the date/timestamp of when the upgrade to Daylite 3.5 was performed), make a copy of it, and then paste it onto your desktop.

To Reinstall Daylite 3.2:

  1. On the system, navigate to Hard Drive -> Library -> Receipts and delete the files DayliteApplication.pkg and DayliteDatabase.pkg
  2. Download and install Daylite 3.2.3 from the following download page: http://www.marketcircle.com/downloads/archive.html
  3. Once Daylite 3.2.3 is reinstalled, restore the backup following the instructions in this article
