If the software is unstable or crashes due to application enhancers, you should disable Application Enhancer for the application. This can be done through the System Preferences:
- From the Finder, choose the Apple menu -> System Preferences
- In the Other section, click Application Enhancer:
- From the Application Enhancer preference pane, select the Master Exclude List tab at the top:
- Making sure that 'Application Enhancer' is selected in the left column, click the plus symbol at the bottom:
- Select the application to add to the exclude list; this will prevent the application from being 'enhanced'. Repeat for any other applications you wish to exclude.
Quit the application and try using it again; if the crashes still occur, you may need to disable (or remove) Application Enhancer altogether; from the Application Enhancer preference pane, select the About tab at the top, then click on the Troubleshooting button at the bottom:
- Click the Disable Temporarily (or Uninstall Application Enhancer) button to disable Application Enhancer. You will need to log out and log back into your computer account for the changes to take effect:
