If you are trying to create an offline database, but you get an error message saying that the user may not have permission to create one, there are two things to look at.
1. Log into DayLite at the DayLite Admin
- Select DayLite -> Preferences
- Select the Users & Security icon
- Click on the Security Tab
- Ensure that the 'Restrict Offline Database Creation' is not checked
2. Make sure you (the user) has permission to 'Read & Write' in the database folder.
- Select the 'Databases.obstorage' in the Finder
- Go a 'Get Info' on it (Main Menu -> File -> Get Info)
- Open up the Ownership and Permissions area
- Within that area, open up the 'Details' area
- Click on the Lock icon (Authenticate yourself if required)
- Change the Access levels so that you can read and write
