I am having trouble logging into my local database. Daylite states that the local database does not exist?

Note:
This article provides instructions for users trying to access a database that resides on their own computer (and not a shared database that resides on another computer).

Please try the following steps:

1) First, make sure that you are trying to log into the right database following the proper steps:
http://www.marketcircle.com/kb/idx/0/273/article/

2) Then ensure that your database(s) is/are started by following the instructions found in the following article:
http://www.marketcircle.com/kb/idx/0/267/article/

3) If your database is not listed in the OpenBase Manager 'Local' window, your database may not be in the right place.
Read the following article which will help you to locate your database file:
http://www.marketcircle.com/kb/idx/33/374/article/

4)  If the 'Databases Location' in Daylite is displaying 'Users/Shared/Databases.obstorage',
but the actual database file is placed in another location, you can restore it using the method in this movie.

The following movie will demonstrate this process:
http://movies.marketcircle.com/mov/daylite3/DL323Restore.mov

5) If you are 'able' to see your database in the 'local' window and it is already started in OpenBase Manager, you can now try logging into your database from Daylite - using Step 1 of this article.

*Note that depending on the size of your database, after a restart of your computer,
it may take a while for the database to fully start up.
In this case, the best option is to wait or check using OpenBase manager to confirm that
it is fully started before you attempt to log in again from Daylite.
Also, when you are in OpenBase Manager, you should not change any other settings.
