Creating a new database in Daylite 3.2.3

To create a new Daylite 3.2.3 database

1. Launch Daylite.
The 'Welcome to Daylite' window opens.
2. Select 'Create a new database.'
3. Click Continue.
The Authenticate window opens.
4. Enter your Mac OS X admin authentication as your password. Click OK.
A new database wizard opens.
5. Enter the appropriate information. Keep in mind the following:
  • In the first step, you can specify login and personal information.
  • In the second step, you can specify the organization information. You can share your database with other users and create accounts for them.
  • In the third step, you can specify settings for importing from Address Book and iCal.
  • In the fourth step, you can specify a database name and select a template. Selecting a Blank template creates a blank database with minimal settings. Selecting a Standard template creates a Daylite database with default preferences.
6. Click Finish.
7. Once your database is successfully setup, click Log In in the wizard window.

This is only one of the many available methods for creating a new database. For more information about the additional methods, refer this movie.
