I've upgraded to Daylite 3.6 and I can no longer log into my database because my username or password was incorrect.
|
Scenario: -You have upgraded to Daylite 3.6 -You are unable to access your database -You are getting the Error Code: 100 (username or password incorrect)
Possible Solution:
If you had a username and/or password that exceeded 20 characters in length, as of Daylite 3.6, the username will be shortened to exactly 20 characters. For instance, if your username was "this is a really long username", it would be shortened to "this is a really lon".
The best way to resolve this is to log into the database as username "Daylite Admin"- password "Daylite Admin", and change the username and/or password of the user account to a more shorter and understandable one (this is done via the Daylite 'Users & Teams' preferences window).
Note: As of Daylite 3.5.1, we have taken the following measures to avoid the above problems: 1. Users will not be permitted to enter usernames or passwords with special characters. 2. Users will not be able to enter usernames that exceed 20 characters. 3. Users upgrading from Daylite 3.2.3 will be prompted with an alert advising them that their username has been truncated to 20 characters.
