- Select 'Preferences...' from the list. The Preferences window now appears.
- Click on the 'Administration' icon.
- Click on the 'Status' tab to switch to the status view.
- Click on the 'Open OpenBase Manager' button. The OpenBaseManager application window now appears.
- Click on 'Local' located the left hand side of the main window.
- Select the Database whose port you would like to specify by clicking on it's name to highlight it.
- Click on 'Action' in the menu bar and select 'Stop Database' (if it is not already stopped), and then click on the 'Shut Down' button to confirm this.
- Click on 'Action' in the menu bar and select 'Configure Database'. A Configure Database window now appears for the Database.
- Click on the 'Expert' tab. In the "Port Number:" field you can now specify a port on which the Database is to be hosted.
Please
choose a port in the range 1000-20000 and enter it in the "Port
Number:" field. (Do not choose a range between 20220 and 20300)
- Close the window and save the changes.
- Click on 'Action' in the menu bar and select 'Start Database' so that it operates on the new port.
- Wait until the database has started (denoted by a Green coloured icon) and then quit OpenBaseManager.
