You only need to worry about the following process if you have the Palm Desktop already installed and you've already enabled DayLite Palm Synchronization.

Once, you've installed the latest Palm Desktop, you will need to clean up the Conduits folder because the Palm Desktop installer will re-install conflicting conduits.

In the Finder, go to Hard Drive -> Library -> Application Support -> Palm HotSync -> Conduits

In that folder, you will need to remove the following conduits. (You can move them into Conduits.psdisabled)

• Address Conduit
• Contacts Conduit
• Datebook Conduit
• Calendar Conduit
• Memo Conduit
• Memos Conduit
• Note Pad Conduit
• To Do Conduit
• Tasks Conduit

After you've completed this operation, you should have the following conduits. The ones with the * are mandatory

• * Backup Conduit
• * Install Conduit
• * Piranha Conduit (this is the DayLite conduit)
• Voice Memo Conduit
•  Photos Conduit

   
Other conduits to watch out for. You should not have any conduits that work with Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes on the Palm, otherwise data loss can occur.  Some of these conduits are:

• iSync Conduit
• Now Contact/Now Up To Date Conduits
• Entourage Conduits
• Personal/Group Organizer Conduits
