How do I make a copy of my database?

Warning: Before proceeding, please ensure that all users are disconnected from the database you are about to copy.

1. Launch OpenBase Manager from the following location:
HD/Applications/OpenBase/OpenBaseManager

2. Go to the Window menu -> and click on Show Databases.

3. In the OpenBase Manager window, click on the Local icon from the left pane.
( Your databases should now be displayed on the right side of the OpenBase Manager window. )

4. Select (highlight) the database you would like to make a copy of. This database now needs to be stopped. To do this, select Action from the menu bar and select Stop Database.

5. In the confirmation sheet that appears, click on Shut Down.

6. Wait until there is a solid red light beside the database name. This denotes that the database has stopped successfully.

7. To make a copy of the database select Action from the menu bar, and then select Duplicate Database.
( You should see an additional database with the word Copy appended to the name of your original database. )

8. Hold down the [apple] key, click on your original database and the copy, go to the Action menu and select Start Database.

9. Wait until you see solid green lights beside both of these databases.
( Once you see the green lights, you've successfully copied your database and restarted them in OpenBase Manager)
