What is the difference between a Smart List and a List?

A list is a reference to any objects that you have manually dragged into that particular list.

Whereas, a Smart list will search through all the specified DayLite objects and provide you with the results that match the criteria that you have specified.
Example of these criteria include: category, keywords, email address, name, start date, end date, url, etc…

In other words, you drag items into Lists, and you add Criterias for Smart Lists to search by.
