To add a picture to a contact, do the following:

*Go to the Contact view
*Select the contact from the list
*In the Detailed pane (bottom portion of the screen),
  select the 'Contact' tab
*Simply drag the picture on top of the silhouette
  (to the left of the Contact's name)
