How can I search for Forms using the Smart Lists?
|
Daylite 3.1 has the ability of creating smart lists that can filter based on the fields of Forms that you can define in your database.
For a description on defining forms please see page 75 of the Daylite 3 Manual. For a description on creating smartlists please see page 23 of the Daylite 3 Manual.
Filtering based on forms is a natural extension to the existing smartlist "New List" pane. When you create a smartlist for either Contacts, Organizations, Projects or Opportunities you will see a new search field available called Forms.
When you select the Forms search field in the browser you will see a list of all the Forms you defined in the Daylite Forms preference pane. You can then select a form to display all the available fields which make up that form.
To filter on one of these fields, double click the field name in the browser and it will add a new sub-pane to the bottom area of the smartlist "New List" pane. Enter the value you want to filter on. You can add multiple values, just like any other smartlist search field.
All of the existing rules that apply to other search fields apply to form based search fields.
