What's New in Daylite 3.1

Improvements

• Added contextual menus for all object types, and a contextual menu preference pane to configure what appears in them
• Added integration with "Growl". If you have Growl installed (http://growl.info/), notifications will also show up through the Growl interface. Preferences for whether or not to display Daylite notifications through growl are modified through the Growl preference pane in System Preferences.
• Added ability to set "Visibility Presets" in the preferences, which are pre-defined visibility settings, which will be available in the visibility pop-ups in the cards.
• Added ability to set more detailed options for any given reminder (for Tasks and Appointments) by dropping a sheet. Options include, email, play sound, run script, open file, speak text and show a note.
• Added ability to set a specific date, or a relative date(i.e. 15 minutes before, for Appointments only) for snoozing reminders in the notifications window.
• Added Simple List Designer. Go to a list area in Daylite and select Actions -> Make Simple List Layout... You will get a dialog where you can specify paper size, margins, fonts, the desired columns and column widths. If a column does not fit, a warning triangle is displayed. You can choose to auto-fit columns as well. You can alter the names of the visible columns for further customization. Once a report or print layout has been defined this way, you can edit the display characteristics to your liking. If you specify 'report' behavior, then the smart list criteria characteristics are copied.
• Added Live Table functionality. If you specify a table as a live table in the table inspector and that table is at the top level (i.e not nested), then the table will mimic the columns displayed in the currently visible list. All list areas now have a 'Live List' template that you can choose. If you specify 'Live Table' behavior in your own tables, then the dynamic new columns take on the display characteristics of the first cell.
• Importing/Exporting of Products and Services
• Added the ability to create smartlists that filter on Forms
• Added ability to create Project smart lists by filtering on linked Tasks
• Added ability to create Project smart lists that filter on linked Contacts and Organizations

• Made HUD widgets easier to install. They now appear as files with the daylite "plugin" icon and double-clicking will cause daylite to prompt for an install, at which point it will copy the widget into the proper location in the user's home directory.
• Added ability to snooze until a specific date and time in the notification window for reminders. Click the snooze popup and choose the "Snooze until..." and a sheet will drop allowing you to enter a date and time.
• Added ability to select multiple objects (of the same type) for linking with the link sheet

• Added ability to double click product/service/custom items in Estimate tab of Opportunity to edit them.
• Highlighting the day header in day/week mode to represent Today

• Added the ability to change font of multiple elements in a report simultaneously by using the Font panel.
• Added the ability to multiply key arrow movements in the report editor. Hold the control key while moving elements using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
• Added axis constrain while dragging elements in a report. Hold the command (Apple) key while dragging an element to constrain the movement on the y axis while dragging. Hold the control key to constrain the movement on the x axis.
• Added the ability to hide and unhide any element in a report using the outline view. Useful when you need to get behind something.
• Added the ability to 'snap to grid' and the grid size in a report. Specify these on a per report basis in the Report -> Sizing inspector.
• Added the ability to name report elements. The names then show in the outline view and in the inspector popup.
• Added the ability to specify which named report elements the user can exclude when generating a report.

• Fixed international currency issue which would cause issues with values over 999.00 in international dollar amounts.

• Fixed issue where if a project status was "New", in the detail view for the project it would show up as "In Progress".
• Fixed issue where projects with status "New" were not showing up in the due list.
• Fixed issue where when importing an address, if there is already an existing address with the same values, it was still adding a new address entry to the object.
• Fixed issue where double-click/option-double-click was not working on linked objects in the Appointment card.
• Fixed issue where when upgrading from 1.x a crash could occur due to a legacy color encoding not being properly detected.
• Fixed issue where clicking on a link in the Letter Template editor could cause a crash in one obscure case.
• Fixed issue where the mini calendar view in the Schedule sheet would be positioned incorrectly.
• Fixed issue where resizing the Schedule sheet would cause the proposed time to not match up with the time scale
• Fixed issue with Schedule sheet where the visible time range did not reflect the range specific in Daylite's preferences
• Fixed issue where the open card warning would appear when the app is handling an exception
• Fixed issue where the Product/Service column was not showing accurate product/services in the opportunity column mode.

• Fixed issue where large numbers(over 8 digits) in form fields that are of type "Number" would round strangely when displayed in the interface(the value in the database remained accurate however).

• Changed the language used when Notifying a user about a meeting date/time change to be less confusing
