You will find a new preference pane in Mail's Preferences window. The DMI preference pane will be located to the
far right of the toolbar. You may have to extend the Preferences window to see the DayLite icon.
General Preferences
Attempt to auto connect to DayLite when I launch MailThis preference determines whether DMI will auto connect to DayLite when you launch Apple Mail.
Show more detail for ContactsThis switch will determine whether DMI shows the Contact's category and keywords. Enabling this preference will 'fatten' the rows in the DMI list.
Show Open Opportunities and Projects for DayLite UsersThis option will retrieve open projects or opportunities for a user (i.e you received a email from a coworker)
Disable PermissionsThis option will hide the buttons related to 'access' levels (not implemented in Public Preview 1)
Inbound and Outbound Preferences
The majority of preferences are similar for both inbound and outbound emails. DMI gives you the choice if you want to threat them in different ways.
Remember the last category I selectedAlways default to the following category:Categories are derived from DayLite. They are 'active' note categories. You can have DMI remember the last one you choose or a specific one. That specific one must match the category name in DayLite exactly. For example, you always deal with 'Support Email' and occasionally some other category. You can set the preference to 'Support Email' and DMI will always select 'Support Email' for the category when you review or compose a new email.
Remember the last access level I selectedAlways default to the following access level:The access levels are not enabled in the public preview. This preference works the same way as the categories. This preference will only work if you have the permission system enabled in DayLite.
Auto-select all contacts (not users)This preference will auto select all matched contacts automatically. If you uncheck this option, you can still select the contacts manually in the DMI drawer.
Auto-select all DayLite usersThis option will auto select all matched users automatically. Just like contacts, if you uncheck this option, you will can still select the users manually in the DMI drawer.
Auto-select opportunity if there is only oneWhen DMI locates a contact and only one open opportunity is found, this option is will auto check it. If you have exactly one open opportunity, then typically you are communicating to that contact about that opportunity.
Auto-select project is there is only oneWhen DMI locates a contact and only one open project (no complete date) is found, this option is will auto check it. If you have exactly one open project, then typically you are communicating to that contact about that project.
Strip Images from HTML emailsWhen you receive inbound HTML emails, you probably don't want to store the images - they just take space in the database.
