Items existing in the database do not show up when I perform a search using Quick Find or Global Find? OR I cannot find, or duplicate names are appearing in the Quick Find window?

If you cannot find contacts, organizations, projects, opportunities, or groups using the Quick Find window, or even find that duplicate names are appearing, please try the following steps which should help to resolve this issue:

Note: When searching using Quick Find, the maximum character limit is set to 30. The reason for this character cap is to optimize the speed of the database when running a query.

1. Log into the database as the following:

Username: Daylite Admin
Password: Daylite Admin

2. From the menu, choose Daylite > Preferences.

3. Click Maintenance.

4. Click the Rebuild Quick Find Index icon.

5. When the table index has been rebuilt, close the Preferences window.

6. Logout of the database.

7. Login with your original username and password.

8. Perform a new search for the item. The results of the search performed either through Quick Find or Global Find should display items in the database that you are searching for.
