When I perform a palm sync, categories tend to duplicate in my Daylite database?
|
If you notice duplicate categories in your Daylite database after doing a Palm sync, it may be because the category has names that are not purely alphanumeric. To correct this, do the following:
1. Backup your database by choosing File > Database > Quick Backup. 2. Choose Daylite > Preferences > Classifications. 3. In the Category pane, delete all the duplicate categories. 4. In the sheet that opens, replace each of the deleted category with 'None.' 5. Click Delete. 6. On your Palm device, rename that same category with a new name that has only alphanumeric characters. 7. Perform a sync. The new category name will be applied to all items that had the original category.
To avoid duplication of categories in future, we recommend using only alphanumeric characters for category names.
