You may get this error when attempting to synchronize an offline database with the main database. This alert indicates that the computer
hosting the database is running a different (perhaps more recent) version of the database engine than that of the client computer trying to access the main database.
The difference in version can be due to the installation of another application that installs a newer version of the database engine (called OpenBase) on the computer hosting the database.
In order for a client machine with an offline database to synchronize properly with the main database, they must both have the same version of OpenBase.
To install the same version of OpenBase on the client machine, do one of the following:
- On the client computer, install the same application that upgraded the OpenBase component on the host computer, or
- Download and install the appropriate version of OpenBase on the client computer. The correct version to download will be indicated on the line of the 'Main database engine version' of the error. To download the OpenBase database engine, visit ftp://ftp.openbase.com/pub/OpenBase_10.0/ and download the appropriate 'MacOSX.dmg' distribution version.
