How do I check if you have the firewall running on your computer

Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar (top left corner).
Select System Preferences... from the list.
The System Preferences window will appear.
Click on the Sharing preference pane.
Click on the Firewall tab.
In the Firewall tab you will see the state of the Firewall. It will either read "Firewall On" or "Firewall Off".

This applies to Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)
