How do I check if you have the firewall running on your computer

  • Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar (top left corner).
  • Select System Preferences... from the list.
  • The System Preferences window will appear.
  • Click on the Sharing preference pane.
  • Click on the Firewall tab.
  • In the Firewall tab you will see the state of the Firewall. It will either read "Firewall On" or "Firewall Off".

This applies to Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)
