I am not able to use DMI because there are too many users currently connected. What do I do?

Please note that one DMI license allows one DMI user to connect to a one user Daylite database at any time.

The total number of DMI licenses must match the total number of Daylite licenses installed. If you have more than one Daylite user connected to the database you will need to purchase the appropriate number of additional DMI licenses.

Also, please note that regardless of the number of licenses you have, all licenses should be added to all of the computers that you have Daylite installed in - in a multi-user environment.

The following training movies will assist you and provide more information on licenses:

If the number of Daylite licenses you have is greater than the number of DMI licenses you own, try the following as a workaround:

  • Get All users to quit both Daylite and Mail
  • Get only the users that wish to use DMI to first launch Daylite, then launch Mail, and connect to Daylite from Mail.
  • Once these users are successfully able to use DMI, then get the other users to launch Daylite and connect to the database.
