You don’t have to be lead in a SWAT team to need backup. Backing-up will save you a lot of time, energy and frustration. Now before you say “Nah, I don’t need to, I use Time Machine!” you need to know that Time Machine cannot backup database files, so we provide our own backup system. Once you’ve enabled our backup, then Time machine can restore it.
Follow these easy steps to backup Daylite:
1. Open Daylite Server and click the ‘Backup’ pane.
2. Check off time, date, and select where you want it to save. (Or visit our Knowledge Base page for how to do a Manual Backup).
Saving this will create a file under ‘Users’ –> ‘Shared’ –> ‘Daylite Server 4 Backups’
*Please ensure that your Daylite Server is turned on.
In the event that you need to restore your computer, Time Machine won’t restore Daylite to a working state, so you need to restore it using the back up file that Daylite server created.
