Daylite 4 Support Will End Sept 30, 2016

Our Company / April 12, 2016 / Kristie

This is an announcement for Daylite 4 customers that we will be ending support for Daylite 4 as of September 30, 2016.

The Product Lifecycle

Every product has a lifecycle. Our product’s lifecycle begins when it’s released and ends when we release two more major updates. By focusing our resources on the current version minus one – Daylite 6 and Daylite 5 – our team is able to provide support and bug fixes for current versions, while also working on additional features for future versions.

This way we’re able to ensure our apps are compatible with Apple’s latest operating system and that our apps continue to provide additional functionality as business needs evolve. We’ve received great feedback from customers about Daylite 6 and Daylite Cloud and we want to keep the ball rolling to make our products even better.

What This Means for Daylite 4 Customers

You will still be able to use Daylite 4 after September 30, 2016, but we will not be providing support or bug fixes beyond that date. We also will not be doing any compatibility updates for Daylite 4, as mentioned in a previous compatibility post.

If you prefer to stay on Daylite 4, we suggest that you avoid updating your operating system as we can’t guarantee that it will be compatible.

We encourage you to upgrade to Daylite 6 so you can take advantage of all the new features and maintain support from our team. You can choose to upgrade to Daylite 6 Self-Serve or move to Daylite 6 Cloud and be server-free. If you want to move to Daylite Cloud, you can still take advantage of our Early Bird Promotional price. More information about pricing and requirements for Daylite 6 Self-Serve and Daylite Cloud is available on our upgrading page.
