Recently we teased some of the exciting changes coming to Daylite’s external meeting invites and now…the wait is over! We are ready to show you what we’ve been working on and excited to invite those interested to have early access to try it out. 🌤️ To the Cloud
We do small business too, so we first-hand understand how important it is to have a reliable external meeting invitation process. Whether you’re meeting with prospects to close business, providing project updates to clients or discussing new services with vendors (to name a few), these interactions are a critical component of doing business and building strong relationships.
Our number one challenge in delivering external meeting invites was coordinating with the variety of email services. With this in mind, we have moved all communication details to the cloud.
And so, we’re happy to report that we are compatible with all the major email services:
- Microsoft Exchange/Outlook/365
- Google Gmail
- Yahoo
- Apple iCloud
You will feel confident that no matter who you invite to your meetings, they will receive the invitation and be able to RSVP with ease. And because Daylite’s cloud is managing the process, we can easily identify necessary updates, so you never experience an interruption to your workflow.
🔎 Meeting Information at Your Fingertips!
With Daylite’s revamped external meeting invites, once the meeting invitation is sent, the cloud receives meeting updatesand will notify you of invitees’ most updated RSVP status via Push Notifications. Instant feedback is critical as, for example, knowing immediately when someone cannot make your meeting allows you to reschedule so everyone can be in attendance.
Equally important to someone declining, is knowing when the system has run into an issue delivering an invitation. In this case you will also be notified via Push Notification so you can investigate the issue, such as a typo in an email address. You can resolve the issue and Daylite’s cloud will retry delivering the invitation on your behalf.
Daylite’s meeting invitee interface has been improved to surface important details about the process, such as when invitations were delivered (or not). These details become important when an invitee communicates that they have not received an invitation. You can help them track it down by highlighting when they should have received it.
✏️ Full Customization Now Available
Tailor the invite experience to individual meeting needs with easily customizable meeting invites.
The user interface for managing external meeting invites has been completely revamped to expose all the customization options in one place, making it easier to adjust the experience to your specific situation.
You can now mark an invitee’s attendance as either required or optional, communicated to them through their invitation.
You can decide to include people in the meeting, but not send out invitation emails for those cases where you have coordinated meeting details over the phone or in person and an invitation email is not necessary. In these cases, you can mark an attendee’s acceptance manually so your records are always accurate to what’s occurred.
📧 Communicate with Clarity and Ease
The email templates used for communicating meeting invitations and updates have been completely recreated to more clearly share meeting details with your invitees.
Invitees will have the option to use their email client’s calendar integration to accept or decline a meeting, or use the embedded buttons our email templates include to accept or decline with a single click.
🛬 Offline Support
Never miss a detail with full offline support. Anything meeting related done offline is saved locally and synced when you are back online. Once you have synced, any emails related to meetings will be sent.
