We all know email is essential to our business lives, but keeping up with prospect outreach, client requests, contractor deliverables, and countless other demands directly in our inbox can quickly become overwhelming.
Nearly 20 years ago, Daylite Mail Assistant (DMA) was created to address this challenge by transforming emails into organized, actionable, and trackable items within Daylite. Since then, it has been recognized as one of Daylite’s most powerful features. That is until last year when, in one fell swoop, Apple changed the trajectory of DMA forever. By removing support for Mail plugins in macOS Sonoma, we were forced to adopt Mail Extensions. This method of integration is far less capable, and we’ve struggled to deliver the DMA experience we all love and expect since.
In an attempt to give our customers an alternative to Apple Mail, we created Daylite Mail Assistant for Outlook. Unfortunately, since Outlook has its own set of rules, we faced similar challenges delivering an experience that meets our high standards.
Enough is enough! We’re taking full control of the email management experience, allowing us to bring back and further increase the efficiency you knew previous to Sonoma.

We are deep in the development of adding your inbox right into Daylite on Mac. Over the next few months, we are excited to keep you updated on development milestones and giving you VIP early access once it becomes available.
By taking full control, we’ll be able to innovate in ways that would not be possible with Apple Mail or Microsoft Outlook. Connecting Daylite to email has always been integral to increasing the productivity of our inboxes. Moving forward we’ll be taking that to a whole new level – even far beyond the original DMA you came to know and love!
We want to be clear, while our first goal is to give you back the email management experience you relied on, our longer term goal is to vastly surpass DMA. The increased efficiency and speed at which you clear out your inbox with the new Daylite Mail will go well beyond what you’ve come to expect from DMA. Stay Tuned!
