Daylite 4 for iOS 8 Known Issues


When trying to login into Daylite 4 for iPhone and iPad, you keep getting prompted with an alert stating "User Name Required: You must enter a user name in order to log in." You have confirmed that the credentials you are using to login are correct but the app does not connect.


  1. Double-tap on the home button to bring up the list of recent apps
  2. Swipe up on the Daylite app to remove it from the list
  3. Launch Daylite 4 for iPhone and iPad again
  4. Attempt to login again

The app should start downloading your database at this point. After your database is downloaded, the app may quit unexpectedly and present you with a crash report when relaunched.

Note: This issue stems from an iOS 8 bug, which we have filed with Apple. In the event that the bug is fixed, we will update this article accordingly.
