I attempt to sync and get a "Sync failed" alert.


You attempt to sync the local copy of your Daylite database and you get a "Sync failed" alert. Daylite then opens a window asking you to verify your credentials as the username and/or password has changed for your user account.

Why is this problem occurring

This can happen if someone has changed your Daylite username and/or password.


You will have to reset the password in Daylite Server Admin. Do the following:

  1. In Daylite Server Admin, click the lock button and authenticate with a Mac OS X administrator credentials.
  2. Click Database.
  3. Select your database.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Change a Password...
  6. In the sheet that opens, do the following:
  7. Select a user.
  8. Enter the new password.
  9. Confirm the new password by re-entering it.
  10. Click Change Password.
