The error "Invalid Credentials" appears when attempting to log into Billings Pro on the iPhone and iPad

Symptom

The error "Invalid Credentials" appears when attempting to log into Billings Pro on the iPhone and iPad. However, I can successfully access my data when using the same credentials in Billings Pro on my desktop.

Why is this problem occurring

When logging into the Billings Pro iOS application, special characters and accents are not supported in your first name, last name or password field.

Solution

You'll need to login through your Billings Pro Control Panel and remove any special characters or accents from your login details. Once this is complete, you can try and login through the Billings Pro on iOS app again.

Cloud Accounts

  1. Perform a sync if using Billings Pro on a Mac (File -> Sync).
  2. Log out of Billings Pro on the desktop (File -> Logout..).
  3. Log into your account preferences via control panel https://(your company id).marketcircle.com
  4. In the "My Info" tab, click "Change".
  5. Remove the accent (which could either be in your first/last name or password). Click "Save" to confirm the change.
  6. Log into Billings Pro on your desktop.
  7. Log into Billings Pro on your iOS device.

Self-Serve

  1. Perform a sync if using Billings Pro on a Mac (File -> Sync).
  2. Log out of Billings Pro on the desktop (File -> Logout..).
  3. Launch Billings Pro Server Admin.
  4. Unlock the application (click the lock icon and authenticate yourself).
  5. Select the Workers pane.
  6. Highlight the name of the user. Click 'Edit name or password' to open the edit window.
  7. Remove the accent (which could either be in your first/last name or password). Click "OK" to confirm the change.
  8. Log into Billings Pro on your desktop.
  9. Log into Billings Pro on your iOS device.
