When I launch Mail, I see the "Incompatible Plug-ins Disabled" alert.


You have received the following alert message when launching Apple Mail after updating your macOS

Why is this Occurring?

To verify if a plugin meets this requirement Apple has created a unique identifier that is changed each update. If a plugin being used does not have the updated identifier, you will receive this message.


Download and install the latest release of Daylite Mail Assistant for the version of Daylite you have. If you are unsure of what version of Daylite you are using check out How can I find out what version of Daylite I am using?

Important: Make sure that the version of macOS you have installed is compatible with Daylite.

  1. Quit Daylite (Daylite > Quit).
  2. Quit Apple Mail (Mail > Quit).
  3. Download and install Daylite and Daylite Mail Assistant.
  4. Launch Daylite and log into your database.
  5. Launch Mail and confirm that Daylite Mail Assistant is working.

macOS 10.14 Mojave Customers:

A small number of Daylite customers on Mojave experience a persistent incompatible plugin error message, even after updating to the latest version.

If the issue persists after updating to the latest version of Daylite, Mail has incorrectly identified the version of the Daylite Mail Assistant on your Mac. We are working with Apple to help them resolve the issue, and have filed an Apple Radar bug. Until resolved with a macOS update, we suggest that you try following the steps highlighted in this article.
