Capture, Track and Share Important Conversations

Tracking communication is critical, but how often do we actually do it? For most, they try to remember on their own or on scraps of paper but that doesn't really do the trick.

Daylite makes capturing, tracking and sharing communication easy so you can free your mind and focus on your work.

What you'll learn:

  • How to capture emails from your inbox
  • How to capture phone calls duration and record call notes
  • How to capture what was discussed in face-to-face conversations
  • How to look back, view, and share all your past communication

Whether it's an email, a phone call or a face-to-face conversation, you can use Daylite to capture the details.

One of Daylite's most unique and powerful abilities is to capture emails straight from your inbox with the Daylite Mail Assistant. Daylite Mail Assistant makes capturing, and linking emails to a person as easy as the click of a button.

Make linking and capturing emails easier by adding them automatically:

  1. Open Mail
  2. Choose to Mail > Preferences, click DMA and then click Settings
  3. Select "Automatically when an email is viewed or sent"

Phone calls

Whether inbound or outbound, it is easy to capture calls and make sure they get linked to a person. This way you don't have to remember all the details like what the call was about, how long it was, or whether you called them, or they called you.

Add Phone Call
  1. Click the Quick Search bar and type in the person's name and hit return.
  2. Click New Task from the person and create a new Task linked to the person
Phone Call

Fill in the call details:

  • Call Title: An easy to remember title to reference later
  • Call Notes: Use the details field to capture call notes
  • Linked Items: Link anything related to the call
  • Type: Choose between Inbound and Outbound calls
  • Add Field: Add additional fields like Type, Start and End times
  • Start: The time when the call started

With the start time filled in, click the checkbox for the task when the call finishes, so you get the call duration.

If call tracking is a major part of your workflow, add Type, Start and End time, as standard fields on Tasks:

  1. Choose Daylite > Preferences and click Edit Cards.
  2. Click Tasks and select the checkboxes for these fields.
