How to Use the Worklist to Focus on Your Top Priorities Today

Saying no to adding things onto your plate is critical to executing on your plans. But, it's a skill many people haven't developed.

The Worklist gives you visual reminders of your top priorities, so you can see and feel the results. Getting this feedback helps you build this skill faster.

What you'll learn:

  • How to use the Worklist to prioritize your day
  • How to pin a Task to your Worklist
  • How to view your Worklist

What is your Worklist?

Your Worklist put's your top priorities front and centre. It's important to be realistic about what you can do in a day and that's why you want to keep this list focused and small. Limit your Worklist to 3-5 Tasks. If other items come up that take priority, review your Worklist and decide which needs to be unpinned.

How to pin a Task to the Worklist

When you select or create a Task, you can pin it to the Worklist by clicking the grey pin icon within the Task itself.

A pinned Task will have an orange pin icon. When a Task is no longer a priority, click the pin again to remove it from your Worklist.

How to view your Worklist

After you pin a task to the Worklist, you can view it from the Home screen as well as on the sidebar under Tasks.

The Worklist is under the Due and Overdue section on the Home view. Because the Worklist is important, it will appear even when there are no Tasks in it. If a new priority comes up and you know it's going on your Worklist, save yourself some clicks and add it directly by clicking + next to Worklist on the Home page.

When you view the Worklist from the sidebar, you give your priorities even more focus. You can add items to your Worklist right here. You will also see your Due and overdue task which you can and drop right onto your Worklist
