If you’re really into problem solving and working together as a team, you’ve got to try doing an escape room game. Our company tried it out for a team building event and had a blast.
An escape room game is where a group of people are locked in a room and need to use the clues in the room to solve a series of puzzles within a certain time frame to escape. Each puzzle that you solve gets you closer to unlocking the door so the faster you can work together as a team, the better chance you have of making it out in time.
We were split into teams – planned ahead of time to make sure we were in a group with people we don’t normally interact with at work – and locked in a room. We had one hour to follow the clues and make it out of the room.
Some of the groups made it out…
…while others were not so successful and ran out of time.
Whether we were successful or not, we had a great time and it was really fun to work together solving problems as a team for things non-work related.
