I’m a big fan of Dialectic. I use it all the time to make calls on my landline (via USB modem), Skype and iPhone. Dialectic is seamlessly integrated with Daylite 4 and it’s a solution I regularly recommend to my consulting clients.

    DayliteABMenu works well.

Dialectic Version 1.8.6 seems to have great potential (as it can dial via VOIP and iPhone via bluetooth), but is currently full of bugs. I’ve been sent a pre-release 1.8.7, and that still has major issues:

    * Doesn’t dial numbers from Daylite, and once you try, you have to restart the app to enable any kind of calling.
    * Seems to kill the bluetooth connection between mac and iPhone, so that isn’t a reliable calling method.

    Hoping JNSoftware fix the bugs!

Interested in billings but want system that also includes ability to create orders for iPad based signatures. Any plans?

  4. Emily Rudow says:

@Mark This is currently a feature request. I have logged your request with our development team. There are no plans for this feature at this time, however, stay tuned to our blog for future updates and announcements.

As a note, i’ve been enjoying using Phone Amego in place of Dialectic. It doesn’t have the bluetooth issues that Dialectic has.

However, it does suffer from odd echo issues (even when i’m wearing headphones), so it’s not an effective solution either as callers complain too much.

iOSExpers just sent me an email that they have updated WebConnector, GeoFind, and MailChimp. You can check them out on the website at http://www.iosxpert.biz.

  7. Frank says:

Any word on when DirectMail will get their plugin up and running?

  8. Emily Rudow says:

@Frank We don’t have any updates as of yet, but I have logged DirectMail as a connectors request.

  9. John says:

Any idea when Moneyworks connector will be available?

  10. AJ says:

We know Cognito are working on it. I don’t have a timeline from them however…

  11. Peter Sichel says:

Phone Amego 1.4.12 includes Acoustic Echo Suppression. I’m eager to hear how this works in the field.

  12. andy says:

FYI, i’ve bought the updated Phone Amego (my trial of the earlier version had expired) and the echo suppression doesn’t work. It’s unusable as callers can hear themselves. Shame and a waste of money :-/

    I’m trying dialectic again

  13. andy says:

Phone Amego having issues, but the developer is extremely supportive, plus offers 30 day refund.

Dialectic works great now! Extremely good use of bluetooth now – only connects to make the call and then disconnects, saving battery life. Very good!
