Daylite Touch 1.5 with Reminders Released

Product Updates / August 6, 2010 / AJ

I’ve been using Daylite Touch 1.5 with alarms for a while now and I can’t live without it! The alarms provide an additional sense of freedom.

We’ve been lobbying Apple since Day 1 of the iPhone SDK availability (specifically March 6th 2008) for this capability and we finally got it in iOS 4.

As you can imagine, we re-prioritized a bunch of things so we could make this happen asap. We needed to work on all 3 parts of the system (Daylite, Daylite Server and Daylite Touch) which is why you must have Daylite 3.11 and Daylite Server 3.11.

So while the feature may appear small, it was a lot of work to get it right. In the process, I became addicted to the automatic alarm feature (i.e. remind me 5 minutes before any scheduled event or accepted meeting).

Daylite Touch 1.5 also has some other iOS 4 goodness – including support for multi-tasking and Apple’s awesome new retina display.

So go ahead and download Daylite Touch 1.5 from the App Store.

Remember, make sure you have Daylite 3.11 and Daylite Server 3.11 (which we released two weeks ago).

Until next time…
AJ

  1. Hello,

Daylite Touch 1.5 was just released with support for local reminders and other improvements. Apple Developers have access to iOS 4.1 beta, and since I’m tinkering with development, I went ahead and installed it. Now, Daylite Touch won’t open — it hangs and then crashes. Is this a known issue with iOS 4.1? The previous version of Daylite worked with no problems.

  2. I see you also fixed extra field editing in contacts. Thanks for the hard work guys!

  4. @Shahid we haven’t tested on 4.1 beta yet. We will soon.

  5. I love the reminder features as without them I’m having to constantly check to make sure I’m not forgetting if I’m supposed to be someplace or not. The marketcircle staff rocks.

  7. None of the reminders has worked with the new DLT. I sent in a support request on 8/7/10, #51106, but no one has responded. Can someone help me out?

  9. I just installed iOS 4.1 (Sept 9th). Big mistake–Daylite Touch no longer works. It opens to the calendar home page with a useless keyboard covering the bottom portion of the screen and it won’t budge from there.

  11. @DougB – I have 4.1 on my device and I have no problems. We’ve also tested it on numerous devices (iPod’s, 3G, 3Gs etc…).
Open a support ticket. We’ll sort you out.
